The Planted Sessions
For the rest of February through March 31st, I’m opening my photography bookings to a special project in support of our church’s Planted building initiative.
I have been wanting to do this as a passion project for awhile, and I'm really excited to be able to offer this to our community right now!
For every Soma member who books directly or even brings me a referral booking made during this season, a majority portion will go directly towards the Planted initiative, with the remainder simply supporting my cost of doing business.
These sessions are meant to be really accessible and outside of my usual offerings— an opportunity to serve this community, while also supporting the building goals we currently have as a church.
So basically, let's get you that updated headshot or that generations portrait with your grandma and your daughter for Women's Day next month, and know that you're also playing a part in starting those renovations at the Portico (woot!)!
Ways To Use This Opportunity…
This offer applies to all bookings made between now and March 31*, including but very much not limited to:
Family/maternity/motherhood (fatherhood)
Couple or individual portraits
Engagement sessions
Wedding bookings (yes weddings!)
When was the last time the two of you had a really nice portrait together?
Gifted sessions or referrals to people outside of Soma
Portraits that center a woman in her own life — as a mother, founder, or artist (Woman's Day is coming up in March!!)
A sponsored gift for a high-school senior
Legacy portraits with aging family members (If they are in a retirement home, I can go to them, for example)
New headshots/branding content for your small business
*Sessions & weddings do not need to take place by the end of March — only the booking needs to be made during this window.

Who is this for?
This offer is open to Soma members and referrals who are in need of photography between now and the end of March. I’m very open to how these sessions could be used- think out of the box!
What types of sessions are included?
If you can think of it, I’m probably open. I don’t leave my niches very often, so take advantage of the flexibility & accessibility of this offer!
Can I gift a session to someone else?
Yes. This can be a meaningful gift for a couple celebrating their love, a high-school senior, or a legacy session for an aging family member.
How much does it cost to book, and what's included?
Most sessions begin at $250. This session fee includes your reserved time and a small curated selection of images. Additional images will be available for purchase.
Engagements, weddings, and custom requests are handled by inquiry. Standard pricing applies, and the majority portion of each qualifying booking made during this season will still go toward the Planted initiative.
*If you have a larger project in mind, or something that falls more under my usual work, just let me know and I’ll connect you with the right package! (Profit will still go to Planted.)
Is there a limit to the number of bookings?
No. This opportunity is open to all qualifying bookings or referrals made between now and the end of March.
Do you need to be part of the Soma community to participate?
No. For example, if you refer a coworker or friend outside of Soma who books with me before the end of March, same Planted giving applies! (Know anyone who just got engaged?)
How does this support the Planted initiative?
The profit of each booking will simply be put into an account, and then on April 1st, the offering will be given directly toward the Planted building initiative, so let's see how much we can raise between now and then! I will simply be retaining the "cost of doing business."
Do sessions need to take place by the end of March?
No. Sessions or weddings may take place later — what matters is that the booking is made between now and March 31.
